A Kentucky woman claimed to be sleepwalking when she set fire to her apartment, as her heavily-medicated son slept inside.
41 year old Lamonica Anganette Hill, told firefighters that she dreamed about grilling when she ignited the flames in Lexington, Ky. But cops believe she’s lying!
“I can’t speculate on her motive to telling that story but obviously we had enough evidence to show that that was not the case in this situation,” Capt. Carrie Bowling of the Lexington Fire Department told ABC 36.
Hill was arrested and charged with first-degree arson and attempted murder. She pleaded not guilty to both charges.
Authorities claim to have discovered evidence that contradicts Hill’s story. But Bowling said she cannot provide details because the case is ongoing.
Hill is being held at the Fayette County jail. A judge set her bond at $500,000, reported WKYT.
A 911 dispatcher guided Hill and her son out of the apartment on the night of the fire.
