University of Illinois at Chicago freshman, Mohammad Hossain , 19, was taken into custody on Feb. 21 — just hours after allegedly sexually assaulting a 19-year-old female student. Apparently Mohammad tied the victim up and committed other horrifying acts
inspired by the hit novel turned film, Fifty Shades of Grey, according to reports.
The pain and trauma inflicted by the suspect was apparently an attempt to recreate the BDSM relationship in EL James hit novel, Fifty Shades of Grey. The terrifying assault allegedly took place in
Mohammad’s door room around 5:30 pm when he brought back a girl that he had already been intimate with according to the Hollywood Reporter .
The suspect, “then bound her hands above her head and to a bed with a belt used another belt to bind her legs and stuffed a necktie into her mouth,” according to prosecutors reports the Chicago Tribune .
He then proceeded to cover the woman’s eyes with a knit cap, undressed her and then began
striking her with a belt, according to police reports. Despite her pleas to stop, Mohammad allegedly started punching her and sexually assaulted her. In fact, it was only until the suspect’s roommate arrived and called for help that the female was able to flee his dorm.
This whole situation only became more sickening and surreal after learning that Mohammad appeared to have gone on Facebook after the alleged attack. Based on his post, it seems like he had no qualms about his alleged actions. “I’m finally satisfied. — feeling accomplished,” posted Mohammad on his Facebook at 7:34 pm, which is just around two hours after the female arrived to his dorm.
Within the same evening, on Feb. 21, Mohammad was later charged with felony aggravated criminal sexual assault and remains in custody according to the Hollywood Reporter .
Following his arrest, authorities then learned that the alleged incident was inspired by the films Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) and Christian Grey (Jamie Doran). Indeed, this is an eerie admittance to fathom as the film adaptation continues to dominate the box office for the second straight week.
