Hulk Hogan was recently fired from the WWE after audio leaked of him making racially charged comments, and the legendary wrestler’s daughter Brooke defended her father against the accusations. Hulk’s comments were made about Brooke’s former boyfriend, who is a Black man, but she claims that he was only using the offensive language because he was angry.

Brooke told Entertainment Tonight, “My dad’s best friends with Mr. T, he’s best friends with Dennis Rodman,” and she added, “he’s not racist.”

Rodman previously spoke in defense of Hulk via Twitter, “I’ve known @HulkHogan for 25 years. Here he is hanging with Kylin in NJ. There isn’t a racist bone in that mans body.” The famed basketball star also called on celebrity friends like Shaq, Scottie Pippen, and Magic Johnson to “lend our support to the Hulkster @HulkHogan who most certainly is not a racist.”

Brooke came under fire for her comments, with many people online pointing out that having Black friends does not excuse someone from using racially charged language.
